Utah located in the western part o the United States, this state was granted statehood in 1846. It is bounded by Colorado in the east, Nevada in the west, Wyoming in the northeast, Arizona in the south, Idaho in the north and one o its corner touches New Mexico to the southeast. It was inhabited by Native American tribes before the coming of the European settlers.
Its modern inhabitants are a blend of Scandinavian, English, German, Mexican, Irish and Welsh. Likewise its climate is also a mix of semi arid, desert and dry types. Its economy is cattle ranching, government services, mining and salt production.
Taxes on silver sales
There is a specific transactions sales tax rate in Utah. This tax is applied for each sale and represents 4,7% of the price. There are some additional local sales tax required by cities or/and by the county, consequently the total sale tax amount varies between 5,95% and 8,35%.
