The state of Iowa in the United States is located in the Midwestern part and this region is sometimes described as the ‘American Heartland.’ It is outlined by Missouri River and the Big Sioux River in the west and by Mississippi River in the east.
This makes it the only state that is bordered by water bodies on both sides. Along with this it is also marked by Missouri in the south, Minnesota in the north Wisconsin, Illinois in the east, Nebraska and South Dakota in the west. It experiences humid continental climate which means harsh winters with snowfall and hot and humid summers.
Taxes on silver sales
There is a specific transactions sales tax rate in Iowa. This tax is applied for each sale and represents 6% of the price. There are some additional local sales tax required by cities or/and by the county, consequently the total sale tax amount varies between 6% and 7%.
Actually, this sales tax is not applied to silver coins and bullion purchases in this state.
