Nebraska is a state that is located in the Midwestern region of the United States. The name is derived from archaic words in Otoe which mean ‘flat water’ for the Platte River that flows across the state. It is bordered by South Dakota in the north, Kansas in the south, Wyoming in the west, Iowa in the east, Missouri in the southeast and Colorado in the southwest.
